OREGON/IDAHO BORDERS

CIRCLE BAR RANCH
The Circle Bar Ranch is located approximately 35 miles south
of the small community of Jordan Valley, Oregon. Boise, Idaho is
approximately 100 road miles to the northeast and Winnemucca,
Nevada about 200 miles to the south. The communities of Nampa
and Caldwell, Idaho provide most services including emergency
and long term medical, all pertinent shopping necessities and
advanced educational institutions. The area is steeped in
history dating back to the fur trade of the early 1800’s and
flowing into the mining of the 1860’s and subsequent ranching
operations that followed. Ranch proximity to the Boise Valley,
coupled with the rugged vastness of Juniper Mountain and the
Three Forks area, make for a one-of-a-type offering. All three
forks of the Owyhee Rivers border and/or pass through ranch
holdings. Vehicle access to sizable portions of the state leases
and BLM lands are restricted via deeded land. Boise offers
commercial air service and connections from all major cities in
the country.
The ranch is possibly the most competitively priced
combination recreation/working ranch on the market. Any
legitimate prospect looking for a Great Basin buckaroo lifestyle
mixed with Mule deer, upland game birds, fresh water fishery, a
modest elk population and other complimentary wildlife will
appreciate the Circle Bar.

LIFESTYLE & AMENITIES
The Circle Bar will be purchased for is one-of-a-kind
geographical uniqueness, wildlife, fishery and good old
fashioned buckaroo mystique. The Main Fork, Middle Fork and
North Fork of the Owyhee Rivers serve as boundaries and/or
traverse through the center of deeded, state and federal leases.
The native fishery in these waters is one of the countries best
kept secrets. Mule deer, elk, antelope and lion are the major
big game species. The chukar population along the various forks
of the Owyhee’s will match any the country has to offer. The
proximity along the Oregon/Idaho border offers the opportunity
to hunt in two states. The Oregon side is eligible for four each
Landowner Preference tags; elk & deer. Buck antelope is on a
draw basis. Rafting the South Fork Owyhee during high water
ranks with the country’s best.
Vehicle access to about 20,000 acres of Oregon State Grazing
Lease is controlled through deeded lands. A portion of the Idaho
BLM is also accessed through deeded land. The isolation and
vastness of the Circle Bar holdings eliminate all but the stout
hearted. Other than at the confluence at Three Forks and the
opening of hunting seasons, this agent has never encountered any
recreational and/or fisherpersons on either the Oregon State
leases or the Idaho BLM during the past 15 years.
A neighboring rancher holds a recorded right-of-way on a
roadway passing through the Circle Bar. The Circle Bar also has
a recorded right-of-way via roadway through such neighbor.
Western Watersheds Project, John Marvel, is constantly
harassing the BLM over grazing in the Owyhee’s. This is an
ongoing battle with no end in sight. The Boise and Twin Falls
BLM offices are currently carrying the torch for the southern
Idaho ranchers. It is the BLM’s intent to keep cattle grazing as
a viable management tool. Please consult with this agent for
more information.
